Celtic fans react on Twitter as Nir Bitton returns to full training

Nir Bitton has handed Celtic an injury boost by returning to full training after several months on the sidelines.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the Scottish Premiership champions confirmed on Twitter that Nir Bitton has returned to full training after overcoming his long-term injury.

Bitton has made just three appearances in 2018, with The Scottish Sun reporting that he underwent surgery on a knee injury. His most recent outing came in the 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock in February.

 

But the club have now confirmed that he has returned to full training. It is not clear how far away he is however, from being back in contention to feature for Brendan Rodgers' side.

Bitton has arguably endured a mixed time at Parkhead. At times, the Israel international has looked a class apart and his versatility has certainly been beneficial at various points since his arrival in 2013.

There are some fans on social media who are not convinced that he can expect much time out on the pitch when he does return. Celtic are only just starting to find their best form so Rodgers will probably not have any desire to change too many things right now.

However, there are plenty who believe that Bitton's return can be a big boost. On his day, he is a fantastic player in holding midfield who can certainly do a job at centre-back. And some of the supporters are excited to have the 27-year-old back in the ranks.
