The Liverpool ace has been in excellent form so far this season.
The 21-year-old joined the Reds from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of just £3.5 million, and he has gone on to establish himself as one of Jürgen Klopp's two first-choice centre-backs.
Gomez's stock has risen so much within the game that he is also now considered to be a regular start for England, and something that surely must appeal to Gareth Southgate is the youngster's versatility.
Alan Shearer is certainly a big fan of Gomez.
The former Newcastle United and England skipper raved about the Liverpool ace's display for England against Croatia, labelling the young defender as 'fantastic' and 'dominant', when speaking exclusively to the Sun:
"Joe Gomez was fantastic at the back, so dominant and composed for one so young."
Gomez now has to focus on Liverpool, and how well he plays between now and the end of the season will have a huge bearing on the Merseyside outfit's hopes of winning the Premier League title this season.
