West Ham United are reportedly interested in the 28-year-old hitman.
It looks like West Ham United might be preparing for the worst case scenario in January.
There are noises coming out of Marko Arnautovic’s camp and they aren’t good.
His brother and agent told Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio last week that his client is attracting interest and those suitors might well make a move in a few months.
But according to The Sunday People, West Ham are interested in Nantes hitman Emiliano Sala – and for £15 million, he’d be a superb signing by the Irons.
The 28-year-old has netted 11 goals in 12 Ligue 1 games for the French side this season, and has managed eight goals in his last five appearances.
In the scheme of things, £15 million isn’t a massive amount of money anymore and if Sala were to continue his free-scoring form in East London then it’s a coup – a huge one.
Arnautovic might well wind up staying at West Ham, but if the club’s hierarchy think he’s on his way then Sala could represent an exceptional replacement.
