The race for Jordan Jones is hotting up as we edge ever closer to the January transfer window.
According to The Mail, Championship duo Aston Villa and Swansea City are both interested in signing the highly-rated Kilmarnock winger and send scouts to watch him in action during Northern Ireland’s 2-1 Nations League game against Austria on Sunday.
So Rangers appear to be in last chance saloon if they want the former Middlesbrough man at Ibrox.
The Daily Record claimed in June that the Glasgow giants had offered £350,000 for Jones only for Killie to turn this down with manager Steve Clarke claiming that the bid was ‘nowhere near acceptable’. It is reported that the Ayrshire side value their attacking talisman closer to £1 million.
But the Rangers fans who tuned into Northern Ireland’s fourth and final Nations League game in League B seem to be hoping that their club is not out of the running just yet.
Jones has proven himself as one of the most impressive young attackers in the Scottish top flight and he could be a ready-made replacement for Ryan Kent, who is only on loan from Liverpool, on the Rangers left wing.
Steven Davis has still got it, really hope he’s back in January and Jordan Jones is giving this Austrian left back an awfa time of it— Lewis Reeves (@LewisR2010) November 18, 2018

I'd be getting another bid in for Jordan Jones in the January transfer window. Boy is an exceptional talent.— Rob Kane (@Robkanecomedian) November 18, 2018
That Id rather buy Jordan Jones than take Steven Davis on loan, but I can see the advantage he’ll bring to the middle of the park https://t.co/5hnSQp8fbx— Cameron Bell (@Beatthatbeat) November 18, 2018
If the price is right I definitely would take a chance on Jordan Jones.— Rev. I Am Jolly (@will_car86rfc1) November 18, 2018
