Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are trolling Liverpool's Dejan Lovren over his performance against England this afternoon.
Spurs hitman Harry Kane grabbed an 85th-minute winner as Gareth Southgate's side beat Croatia 2-1 at Wembley, after being 1-0 behind.
It was the Liverpool centre-back who was meant to be marking Kane, but the 25-year-old evaded the big defender to convert a Ben Chilwell cross and relegate the Croats from the Nations League in the process.
Lovren endured a horrific performance against Tottenham and Kane a little over a year ago, when Reds boss Jurgen Klopp hauled him off after just 30 minutes.
The 29-year-old then sparked something of a feud back in May by calling the Lilywhites marksman 'Mr Touch' - a reference to the controversial goal that Kane was given as he bid to keep chase with Mo Salah in the Premier League's Golden Boot stakes.
If Lovren put a foot wrong tonight, fans of the North London club were always going to jump all over it - and here is how some of them have reacted:
Was lovren meant to be marking Kane there??— John Campbell (@mossy1906john) November 18, 2018
As a spurs fan I’ve learnt to recognise a bottle job when I see one, Dejan Lovren is up there with the best of them— Dan Lauder (@danlauder98) November 18, 2018
Had to watch it about 5 times for it to sink in that Lovren gets nutmegged by Kane on the 1st goal. Absolute spazzo— ChrismanSpurs (@ChrismanSpurs) November 18, 2018
Lose yourself in someone the way Dejan Lovren loses Harry Kane— Spurs Addict (@AddictSpurs) November 18, 2018
