Celtic are planning to announce a new deal for Scott Brown in the very near future, according to a report.

According to The Record, Celtic are hoping to extend Scott Brown’s contract in the ‘coming days’.
The legendary Celtic midfielder is out of contract at Parkhead in the summer.
In October, Brown, who turns 34 in June, was reported by The Daily Mail to be a target of Australian outfit Western Melbourne.
But The Record claims that the Hoops are hoping to announce a new deal for the no-nonsense captain very shortly.
If it materialises, Brown will be the third player to extend his contract with Brendan Rodgers’s side over the past eight days, following new deals for Olivier Ntcham and Ryan Christie.
The former Scotland skipper hasn’t kicked a ball for the Hoops in a little under a month due to injury, in which time Callum McGregor has excelled in his place.
But it would be a major surprise if Brown did not walk back into Rodgers’s first XI when he is fit again.
Despite his age, the former Hibernian star has led the Bhoys to back-to-back domestic trebles in recent seasons, underlining his influence and the Northern Irish manager won’t have forgotten that.
