The Wolverhampton Wanderers ace suffered a facial injury at the weekend.

According to a report from the Express & Star, Wolves have suffered news of a potential blow ahead of their clash with Huddersfield Town on November 25th, with ever-present wing-back Matt Doherty being classed as a major doubt for the game.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form for the Black Country outfit this season, and has played every single Premier League game thus far.
Doherty saw a specialist and underwent a scan yesterday after suffering a nasty facial injury during his side’s clash with Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

The Express & Star claims that Doherty’s cheek injury makes him a major doubt for Wolves’ clash with Huddersfield in 10 days time, and that will be seen as a major blow for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The Irishman has been so important to the way in which Wolves have gone about their business over the past couple of years, so if he is not available to play against Huddersfield, he will be greatly missed.
