Luke Croll in action for Crystal Palace

Blackpool are among a number of clubs tracking Exeter defender Luke Croll, HITC Sport understands.

Croll has caught the eye for Exeter so far this season, with a number of impressive displays at the heart of their defence.

The 23-year-old has made 15 appearances in all competitions so far for Exeter this season and he has played a key role in their push for promotion from League Two.

Croll’s showings this term have not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid, with League One Blackpool one of several sides keeping tabs on his progress.

Blackpool have watched Croll in action on several occasions this season and they could test Exeter’s resolve to hang on to him when the transfer window reopens in January.

Croll joined Exeter on a free transfer in the summer of 2017, after initially impressing on loan at St James Park the previous season.

The talented defender came through the ranks at Palace, but never broke into the first-team during his time at Selhurst Park.
