Jordan Hugill joined Middlesbrough on loan from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Hugill joined Championship club Middlesbrough on loan from Premier League side West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old former Preston North End forward scored both goals in Boro’s win against Wigan Athletic at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship last Saturday afternoon.
On the very same day, Leeds were hammered 4-1 by West Brom in what was their biggest defeat of the season.
Former Leeds striker Whelan suggested that the West Yorkshire outfit should have gone for Hugill before he moved to Championship rivals Middlesbrough on loan from West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds: “Hugill. Did he get two today? I think so. Someone like that would have been fantastic for us.”
Hugill would have a good signing for Leeds and would have added a different demension, but the Whites have been unfortunate in terms of the long-term injury suffered by Patrick Bamford, who joined Bielsa’s team from Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window.
