Liverpool beat Fulham 2-0 on Sunday afternoon, and it seems that two of the visiting players caught the eye of Reds legend John Aldridge.
Liverpool saw Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri find the net in what proved to be comfortable 2-0 win, but that doesn't exactly tell the full story of the encounter.
Fulham were not only aggrieved when Aleksandar Mitrovic had a headed goal harshly ruled out for offside, and the ball was moving from Alisson's subsequent free kick, which led to Salah's opener.
Those are the type of decisions that go against you when you're struggling, and whilst it was another defeat for the Cottagers, they did at least show some signs of life in a strong first half performance.
Boss Slavisa Jokanovic remains under pressure after a torrid run of form, but he will be hoping to see a better display against Southampton after the international break.
Two players would be key to any revival; teenage winger Ryan Sessegnon, who should have scored a one-on-one against Liverpool, and striker Mitrovic, who look like the most likely Fulham players to impress right now.
Liverpool legend John Aldridge has now told the Liverpool Echo that he thinks Reds boss Jurgen Klopp should sign Sessegnon and Mitrovic in 2019, believing that the Englishman can add competition at left back and on the left flank, whilst Mitrovic can provide a focal point off the bench that Liverpool don't currently possess.
Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Aldridge's comments, with many wanting Sessegnon snapped up given that he's one of English football's top young talents, but couldn't believe that Aldridge wants Mitrovic, believing that he isn't good enough for Liverpool and isn't even better than Divock Origi.
Sessegnon, yes. But definitely not Mitrovic. The quintessential "Not-LFC" style player. He'd be like Immobile for BVB.— Gomez Addams (@MichiganLfc) November 13, 2018
Maybe Vietto or Old Man Schurrle.
Sessegnon probably yes but mitrovic noo way he wouldn’t fit in Klopps system, and we know how that went when we had a player like him last time at our club (Benteke)— ashar moizz (@asharmoizz) November 13, 2018
I understand the like with Sesegnon, young and has potential, however Mitrović I just don’t get. If you want a big strong striker to come off the bench not him.— Harry Richardson (@Harryrich007) November 13, 2018
Sessegnon would be a great talent for Klopp to take under his wing— The Anfield Daily (@AnfieldDaily1) November 13, 2018
Mitrovic why? Origi is better than Him— U-GYN NUH (@EugeneNoah) November 13, 2018
Mitrovic? Noooo....— CHRIS OWENS (@CHRISDABAHIA4) November 13, 2018
What do people think of poaching Sessegnon and/or Mitrovic off Fulham as @Realaldo474 was saying? Personally, I'd go for Sessegnon, but unsure he'll be willing to play second fiddle to Robbo. #YNWA #LFC #transfermarkt— Ric JFT96 Roy (@YNWA_Ric) November 13, 2018
I would absolutely love Sessengong here. Absolute no brainer— Jez (@JezKunt) November 13, 2018
Sess was fantastic. Brilliant to see a young player impose himself on a big game like that. Surely Klopp has to move for him.— Stylez (@Styletix) November 13, 2018
Mitrovic only works in a team that puts in crosses and doesn’t play passing football— Daniel (@Ahfodtour2016) November 13, 2018
