Everton managed to keep a clean sheet against Chelsea yesterday, after putting in an excellent defensive showing.

Pickford and Mina helped Everton keep a clean sheet in Silva’s side’s last outing at Stamford Bridge.
Everton kept Maurizio Sarri’s side at arms length throughout the contest, as they managed to avoid defeat against Chelsea.
And Silva was impressed by both Mina’s and Pickford’s efforts during the contest.
“He [Mina] did everything I expected,” said the Blues boss. “He showed his quality, was very good on the ball and off the ball as well. I think he did really well.

“Jordan’s performance is good news for England [going into the international break] and good news for us.”
Mina was making his first Premier League start at the weekend, and he generally coped well in what was a tough first test.
The Colombian picked up a booking early on, but still dealt with Alvaro Morata’s threat despite being on a caution.
When Everton’s defence were breached, Pickford always looked assured, as he made some fine saves.
Everton are currently in ninth place in the Premier League table, and seem to be going from strength to strength.
