Ovie Ejaria's form for Rangers has been somewhat up and down. Struggling to begin with, the Liverpool loanee wowed fans in late August and for the next couple of months, but has slowly started to decline again.

The 20-year-old scored the all important goal against FC Ufa to help Rangers qualify for the Europa League group stage and also found the back of the net in the 3-3 draw with Motherwell.

His ability to connect the midfield and attack from deep was praised by fans and Steven Gerrard alike, who described the England Under-21 international as "excellent" following the first-leg win overt Ufa.

But in recent matches, the £2,000-a-week midfielder (Spotrac) has stuttered, which was evident in the 4-3 loss to Spartak Moscow on Thursday night in Rangers' Group B Europa League outing.

Ejaria, who was replaced in injury time by Gareth McAuley, was only sixth highest in pass completion rate - which WhoScored claim was just 72.4 per cent, behind the likes of Nikola Katic, Lassana Coulibaly and Alfredo Morelos.

It was a disappointing display from a player that is so highly-rated, but fans took to Twitter to express their desire to see their club sign him on a permanent basis - with the knowledge that he is struggling at the moment.
