Hernandez has been one of Leeds' stand-out performers this season.
Pablo Hernandez has delighted Leeds United fans by stating that he feels good despite being well into his thirties, suggesting that he could continue at Elland Road for many years.
Now 33, former Spain international Hernandez is arguably in his best form since joining the Whites in the summer of 2016, scoring four goals and creating another five strikes in nine Championship appearances.
The former Valencia and Swansea City man has made the position on the right flank his own under Marcelo Bielsa, using his technical ability and intelligence to counter act his decreasing speed.
Hernandez stated that he feels good despite his ever-increasing age and although he no longer feels as though he is 23 or 24 years of age, he informed fans that he is confident of continuing to impress in the foreseeable future.
"I know my age but I try to push every day in training and in my life. I eat good food, I have good rest. It's not the same like when I was 23, 24. But I feel good and I feel young," Hernandez said.
Hernandez is expected to start on Saturday evening as Leeds travel to the Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion in a match that could prove important come the end of the season at the top of the table.
Leeds fans were delighted with Hernandez's comments, with some supporters comparing him with Gordon Strachan while others claimed that "age is just a number".
