Celtic got the better of Leipzig 2-1 at Celtic Park in the Europa League Group B on Thursday evening.
It was a hugely exciting and entertaining game of football in which the Bundesliga side could have scored a late equaliser.
In the end, the Hoops deservedly picked up all three points and are now level on points with Leipzig in third place in Group B.
Leipzig left-back Halstenberg - who is valued at €6.9 million (£6m) by the CIES Football Observatory - has admitted that the atmosphere got to one or two of his teammates.
Marcel #Halstenberg: "We were a step behind too often today and made too many misplaced passes. Perhaps the atmosphere got to one or two of us as well. Now we've got to move on - on Sunday we're back in Bundesliga action against Leverkusen." #CELRBL pic.twitter.com/rNWlG7DOXg— RB Leipzig English (@RBLeipzig_EN) November 8, 2018
Celtic Park is always a great place for atmosphere for European games, and it was no different on Thursday evening.
The Celtic fans were behind the players from start to finish, and their energy and passion helped Brendan Rodgers’s side a great deal against a team who are better than them on paper.
