Halstenberg suggests Celtic Park atmosphere got to some Leipzig players

RB Leipzig left-back Marcel Halstenberg has admitted to the club’s official Twitter page that the atmosphere at Celtic Park during the Europa League match against Celtic got to some of his teammates.

Celtic got the better of Leipzig 2-1 at Celtic Park in the Europa League Group B on Thursday evening.

It was a hugely exciting and entertaining game of football in which the Bundesliga side could have scored a late equaliser.

 

In the end, the Hoops deservedly picked up all three points and are now level on points with Leipzig in third place in Group B.

Leipzig left-back Halstenberg - who is valued at €6.9 million (£6m) by the CIES Football Observatory - has admitted that the atmosphere got to one or two of his teammates.
