Adomah has been linked with a move away from Villa.
Albert Adomah's agent has told Sport Witness that his client's main aim is to agree a new deal with Aston Villa despite being linked with a number of other clubs.
The 30-year-old winger has just over 18 months remaining on his current contract at Villa Park, but is struggling to rekindle the form that saw him score 15 goals and create seven more last season.
Indeed, the 18-time Ghana international has managed just eight Championship starts this season, with the likes of Anwar El Ghazi, Yannick Bolasie, Ahmed El Mohamady and Jonathan Kodjia also available as options out wide.
Adomah's future remains a doubt if recent speculation is to be believed, but agent Anthony Finnigan has claimed that his client is not looking to leave and wants to sign a new contract at Villa Park.
“I realise the speculation that comes during this [January] transfer window, but my aim is to discuss with the current manager at the right time about extending his contract and remain at the club,” Finnigan said.
The London-born winger is in his third season at Villa, since being brought to the club by Roberto Di Matteo following Villa's relegation to the Championship after a dismal 2015-16 campaign in the Premier League.
He has since clocked up 98 appearances for the Midlands outfit, scoring 18 goals and creating 19 more in assists. The Gazette claim he cost about £5million two years ago.
