Mohamed Diame has been at Newcastle United since the summer of 2016.

Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame is set to sign a new contract with the Magpies, according to The Chronicle.

It has been reported that Diame has already made an agreement with Newcastle over a new deal.

An extension will be triggered in the 31-year-old midfielder’s later this season if he plays a certain number of matches, according to The Chronicle.

 

The former Wigan Athletic and West Ham United midfielder star is out of contract at Newcastle next summer, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Diame has been on the books of Newcastle since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £3.5 million.
