Leeds United are reportedly keeping tabs on Ezequiel Ponce.

According to Clubcall, Leeds United scouted AEK Athens striker Ezequiel Ponce on Saturday afternoon as boss Marcelo Bielsa considers signing him a second time.
Leeds splashed out on one striker over the summer in Patrick Bamford, but the former Middlesbrough man suffered a major knee injury in September and won’t be back until the early stages of 2019.
Kemar Roofe has starred in attack whilst Tyler Roberts has shown promise too, but Leeds may be in the market for another striker in 2019.
Clubcall now report that Leeds sent a scout to watch AEK Athens in action against Panathinaikos, as they played out a 0-0 draw in Athens, with AEK striker Ezequiel Ponce believed to be their target.
Ponce, 21, flourished with Bielsa’s former club Newell’s Old Boys to earn a big move to Roma in 2015, but he has struggled to settle, and Bielsa lured him to Lille in 2017.
The Argentinian moved on to AEK this past summer, penning a year-long loan deal with a £5.25million buyout in the deal, meaning Leeds may only be able to make a move at the end of the season.

Ponce has hit five goals in eight Greek Super League games this season and has been playing in the Champions League for AEK, as he finally starts to show some of the talent which tempted Roma into a deal in the first place.
Bielsa knows all about Ponce having already signed him once, and Leeds may well be keeping tabs on the striker to try and reunite the Argentinians next summer.
