Erik Lamela played well for Tottenham Hotspur against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at the weekend.

Attacking midfielder Lamela scored Tottenham’s opening goal after 27 minutes in their 3-2 victory over Wolves away from home at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Argentina international, who can also operate as a winger, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 85.7%, took 54 touches, attempted two dribbles, and made two tackles and one interception, according to WhoScored.
The 26-year-old has made three starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
Former Tottenham forward Crooks was impressed with the performance of Lamela and has included the Spurs ace in his BBC Premier League Team of the Week.

Crooks has also reiterated his belief that Lamela’s form will make it tough for England international midfielder Dele Alli to get back into the Spurs starting lineup.
“Last week I told you Erik Lamela had the ability to force Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino to place Dele Alli onto the bench for a period of time,” Crooks wrote about Lamela on BBC Sport.
“The Argentine’s performance against Wolves simply reinforced what I already knew. If Alli knows what is good for him he should treat the challenge as a compliment.”
