Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp worked with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund.
Aubameyang is set to feature for Liverpool in their Premier League match against Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Saturday evening.
The 29-year-old striker has been in superb form for the Gunners so far this season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in eight Premier League starts, according to WhoScored.
The Gabon international has also scored two goals in two Europa League matches for Arsenal so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Liverpool manager Klopp worked with Aubameyang when he was in charge of German club Borussia Dortmund, and he has praised the former Saint-Etienne star.
Klopp told The Liverpool Echo about Aubameyang: “Oh, Auba…. yes, the biggest threat: speed and goal threat. It’s unbelievable.
“He’s one of the best players for the counter-attack that you can find on this planet because of the timing of the runs and the really outstanding finishing record in situations like that.”
Aubameyang is one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and given his form at the moment, the Liverpool defence should be wary of him.
One should not be surprised if the Arsenal star scores a goal or two, especially as the match is at the Emirates.
