West Ham United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup as they were beaten at the London Stadium.

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to implore Manuel Pellegrini to not use Arthur Masuaku as a left-back ever again after the defender’s poor performance against Tottenham.
The Hammers were knocked out of the Carabao Cup as a brace from Son Heung-min and a volley from Fernando Llorente saw the visitors leave the London Stadium with the victory. Lucas Perez bagged West Ham’s goal to briefly hand them a lifeline.
It was an extremely disappointing night for Masuaku. The 24-year-old desperately struggled with Son all night and made a calamitous error for Spurs’ second goal.
An attempted through ball from Dele Alli seemed to be played straight to Masuaku, but the DR Congo international somehow failed to cut the pass out and Son managed to go through and find the back of the net for his second of the game.

That moment certainly summed up Masuaku’s display. And his performance prompted a number of Hammers fans to suggest that Pellegrini cannot use him at left-back anymore as he is not good enough for the role.
Some believe that his place is further up the field, but others are not as kind. There were plenty of tweets from supporters suggesting that he should never play for the side again.
