Tam McManus has claimed on social networking site Twitter that Rangers striker Umar Sadiq will not play for the Ibrox club again.
McManus made the comments about Rangers striker Sadiq during the Ibrox side’s 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday evening.
The 21-year-old striker, who joined Rangers on loan from AS Roma in the summer transfer window, started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Steven Gerrard’s side lost 1-0.
The Nigeria Under-23 international striker – who cost Roma £2 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Spezia in 2016, according to The Scottish Sun – did not have a great match, and at one stage went down inside the Aberdeen penalty box when he could have stayed on his feet and perhaps even score.
McManus, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, has claimed on Twitter that Rangers fans will not see Sadiq again for the Ibrox club.
