It has been reported that Tottenham are keeping tabs on Pope and are considering a move for the 26-year-old England international goalkeeper.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly thinking about fleshing up the competition for first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, with the contract of Michel Vorm - who is the number two at the North London club - set to run out at the end of the season.
Lloris is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and although the France international has made costly errors from time to time, he is much better than Pope.
The Burnley custodian would not be a bad addition as a number two, and given his experience and quality, the 26-year-old will be able to push Lloris.
However, one should not expect the 6ft3in goalkeeper - who earns £15,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com - to dislodge Lloris from his first-choice status as he is not at the World Cup winner's level.
