PSV Eindhoven’s Hirving Lozano tore Tottenham Hotspur apart on Wednesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League campaign is in tatters after only managing to pick up a 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven in their third group stage game.

Spurs went into the game having lost to Inter Milan and Barcelona, meaning that they needed a win to keep up their hopes of reaching the knockout stages.

The game started badly though, as a mistake from Toby Alderweireld allowed Hirving Lozano to race clear, and send his shot into the net with the aid of a deflection off Alderweireld and over Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham did get back into the game though, as Kieran Trippier cut the ball back for Lucas Moura to score, again with the aid of a deflection.

Christian Eriksen then crossed for Harry Kane to head home after the break, but it all went wrong for Spurs as Lloris was sent off for bringing down Lozano, before Luuk de Jong grabbed a late equaliser.

Spurs will have a mountain to climb if they are to make it through, but their disappointed fans were hugely impressed with one player – PSV winger Lozano, who is a target for Tottenham according to The Mirror.

The Mexican international has been thriving in the Eredivisie since signing for PSV from Pachuca in 2017, and he dazzled against the Spurs defence to leave Tottenham fans wanting him signed up.

Fans praised him as ‘electric’ and ‘reminiscent of Sadio Mane’ after a superb display, and whilst some thought he was cheating with some play-acting, many want him signed up and brought back to North London with the Spurs team.
