The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has already taken several former colleagues with him to Ibrox.
Ben Woodburn should be recalled and sent to Rangers, after the success of Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria Ibrox. That is the view of several Liverpool supporters, with Woodburn struggling to make an impact at loan club Sheffield United.
Kent and Ejaria are beginning to excel under the guidance of their former Anfield. colleague Steven Gerrard at Rangers.
Woodburn, meanwhile, returned to play for Liverpool Under-23s on Sunday, as is permitted if he is not involved in the Sheffield United matchday 18.
And the following supporters feel a move to Rangers could be just the tonic for the young Wales international…
Why did we sanction a loan move to Sheffield for Ben Woodburn? He aint getting matches. Rangers would have been a brilliant for him where Gerrard would nurture him like Kent & Ejaria. Waste of a loan move— Shadab Monjur (@Shadab_LFC) October 22, 2018

Recall Woodburn and send him off to Rangers. It’s so simple, isn’t it?— Akash (@Akash_LFC) October 21, 2018
Oh yeah definitely, Rangers may be a safer move for him.— Guy Drinkel (@guydrinkel) October 21, 2018
Teach him the sash and up to Rangers— John O’Sullivan (@NotoriousJOS) October 21, 2018
I’d like to see both in pre season before making a decision. I’d also love to send Woodburn to Rangers on loan next summer. https://t.co/tKVpvL5nqv— Juleh (@SxrgeBossquets) October 20, 2018
Ben Woodburn has been a bit of a flop not going to lie. I think he should go to stevie g at rangers— Kyle (@KyleRichmondSU) October 16, 2018
Woodburn has not appeared for Sheffield United in more than a month, although the Blades manager Chris Wilder explained on Monday that the forward is ‘not a special case’ and is one of several being overlooked because of the form of others.
Should Liverpool fans get their wish, Woodburn would join not only Kent, Ejaria and Gerrard at Rangers, but former teammates Jordan Rossiter and Jon Flanagan – as well as some of Gerrard’s coaching team – too.
Should Liverpool have sent Woodburn to Rangers?
