Juan Foyth is still awaiting his Premier League debut for Tottenham Hotspur, but may potentially leave in the near future.

There were high hopes for the centre-back when he arrived for £8 million last summer – fee reported by BBC Sport. But the Argentinian is still awaiting his Premier League debut and has played just eight times in total for Spurs.
Pochettino arguably seemed to provide a hint about how Foyth was progressing when he left him out of Tottenham’s Champions League group-stage squad this season, and the London Evening Standard is now reporting that he is unlikely to get a chance anytime soon despite Jan Vertonghen picking up an injury that will keep him sidelined for a couple of months.
The report suggests that Pochettino has been slightly underwhelmed with the progress that the 20-year-old has made, and Foyth could consider moving on in January if his situation has not improved.

Should Spurs consider loaning Foyth out?
The report does not suggest whether Foyth could look to leave permanently or has his eye on a potential loan move, but Spurs would arguably be making a smart move only considering the latter if he is looking set to leave.

While Pochettino may have been disappointed with the youngster, a loan deal could hand Foyth the platform he needs to prove that he can make an impact with Tottenham in the future, or at least, put himself in the shop window.
And as it is currently difficult to see another team paying a fee close to what Spurs parted with to sign the centre-back, letting him go permanently could perhaps be a rash decision at this stage.
