Rachid Ghezzal has made just three Premier League starts since arriving at Leicester City from Ligue 1 giants Monaco in the summer.

On paper, Algeria boast an array of attacking talent many international teams could only dream of.
Ahead of the most recent African Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Desert Foxes announced a 23-man squad consisting of Rachid Ghezzal, Yacine Brahimi, Sofiane Feghouli, Adam Ounas, Ishak Belfodil and Manchester City’s £60 million record signing Riyad Mahrez.
The problem is, however, many of the aforementioned stars have frequently struggled to bring their club form onto the international stage.
And it seems that Leicester City attacker Ghezzal bore the brunt of the fans’ frustration after Algeria’s dreadful 1-0 defeat to Benin this week. He lost the ball on countless occasions, failed to track back and there was little surprise when he was subbed off at half time.

And the Algeria fans made their feelings clear on Twitter.
This rather sums up a difficult start to the 2018/19 season for the former Lyon and Monaco man. Leicester paid £12 million to bring Ghezzal to the King Power Stadium as a replacement for his compatriot Mahrez but has managed just three starts so far in the Premier League.
Now, Ghezzal did offer a glimpse of his quality with a long-range wonder-goal against Fleetwood in the EFL Cup, not to mention an impressive performance against Liverpool a few days later.
Leicester fans will be hoping to see more of that in the coming months.
