Paul Robinson comments on Leeds United’s Roofe and Blackburn’s Dack

Two of Paul Robinson’s former clubs will clash with each other in the Championship this coming weekend, as Blackburn Rovers will face Leeds United at Ewood Park.

It promises to be an exciting and entertaining game of football this coming Saturday afternoon, with both Blackburn and Leeds doing well.

While Marcelo Bielsa’s side are third in the Championship table at the moment with 23 points from 12 matches, Rovers currently find themselves 10th in the standings with 18 points from 12 games.


Bradley Dack is an important player for Blackburn, and the 24-year-old midfielder will be key for Rovers against Leeds.

Kemar Roofe has been superb for Leeds, and the 25-year-old striker - who has scored four goals and provided two assists in six Championship appearances for the Whites so far this season, according to WhoScored - is set to lead the line against Rovers.

Former England international goalkeeper Robinson started his professional club football career at Leeds and also played for Blackburn from 2008 until 2015.

The 38-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper has underlined the importance of the two players to their respective clubs.

Robinson told Fansbet when asked to pick between Dack and Roofe: “They’re both Dack and Roofe are vital players for both Blackburn and Leeds, and I don’t think either team would swap them.

“They’ve both kind of found their home if you like with their respective clubs and I think they’re both as important to each team.”
