Last week, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani suggested the creation of a Premier League 2.
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony, though, does not seem to agree with the Italian businessman.
MacAnthony has claimed that if Premier League 2 was created, then Peterborough would become extinct, branding the idea as a “disaster”.
The Peterborough chairman responded to the following question on social networking site Twitter by posting: “An absolute f***ing disaster for the @EFL if he & other champ owners got their way with PL2. We’d be extinct quickly.”
Pushing for promotion
Both Peterborough and Leeds are ambitious clubs, and they are aiming for promotion from their respective divisions this season.
The West Yorkshire outfit are third in the Championship table at the moment with 23 points from 12 matches, while Peterborough are currently second in the League One standings with 27 points from 13 games.
