Northern Ireland lost 1-0 to Austria on Friday night.
Northern Ireland fell to a second defeat in the UEFA Nations League on Friday night as they lost 1-0 away at Austria.
Having been beaten 2-1 by Bosnia and Herzegovina at Windsor Park in their last UEFA Nations League clash, Northern Ireland headed to Vienna looking for a better result against Austria.
However, Michael O'Neill's side drew a blank in front of goal without absent striker Kyle Lafferty, and they ended up losing to a second half goal.
West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic raced clear with 20 minutes to play and finished past Bailey Peacock-Farrell, scoring the only goal of the game.
With two defeats in two, Northern Ireland are now facing relegation in the UEFA Nations League, and there is much for O'Neill to consider.
O'Neill has gone with Leeds United's Peacock-Farrell in goal of late, and despite criticism of his goalkeeping against Bosnia, he was still in the side against Austria.
Peacock-Farrell did have one nightmare against Austria, as he picked up a backpass to give away a free kick and then receive a yellow card for holding onto the ball too long, with fans slamming him for that, with one fan even calling him 'thick'.
Others were split on the stopper, with some praising his performance, and others a little less convinced, with one Leeds fans adding that he may not be seasoned enough for the Whites to win promotion this season.
It wasn't a goal so it won't get highlighted but BPF just picked up the most obvious back pass in the NI game. Terrible error of judgement. I know he's young and learning but has a team ever been promoted with a rookie keeper? #lufc— Andrew McKeeman (@TennisPlayNI) October 12, 2018
Peacock-Farrell must be the thickest goalkeeper I've ever seen. That's his 3rd massive mistake in 2 games.— BKHammer (@BKhammer1) October 12, 2018
England game is awful. #ausnir much better. Young Peacock-Farrell doesn't look out of place.— Andy (@Zebedru) October 12, 2018
Peacock-Farrell. What a keeper— Joe (@FilthyFrenkie) October 12, 2018
I like Peacock-Farrell, long term sorted. Still needs a bit of guidance though. #GAWA— Trevor Hawthorne (@TrevorHawth45) October 12, 2018
Fair enough he's still young and he has only won a few caps, but Peacock-Farrell doesn't fill me with too much confidence. #AUTNIR— Kristian Ross (@Kristian7Ross) October 12, 2018
Apart from a double save Peacock-Farrell was untested really a credit to the back four, just so disappointed the goal could have been easily prevented but young Lewis will only learn from that #GAWA— Josh Bunting (@Buntingfootball) October 12, 2018
