According to a report in The Sun (14th October, page 61), West Bromwich Albion are open to selling Oliver Burke and it may be time for Nottingham Forest to consider bringing the winger back to the City Ground.
Burke broke through at Forest, before making a big money move to Red Bull Leipzig.
The Scottish international’s move to Germany was expected to push him on to new heights, but his career has stalled since.
Burke is now at West Brom, but he has failed to hardly any game time this season.
The 21-year-old is now set to be made available in the January transfer window, and a switch back to Forest would surely appeal to the youngster.
Burke enjoyed the most successful stage of his career with the Reds, and a return to the City Ground would surely help to restore his confidence.
Burke still has time on his side to develop into the player he was once tipped to become, and Forest fans need no reminder of his quality.
Aitor Karanka’s side already have a threatening attack, but the potential to bring Burke back should still be seen as an exciting opportunity.
And Forest should be planning to enter the race for their former academy graduate in January.
