A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to praise Gjanni Alioski after the winger scored a wonderful goal to round off Macedonia's emphatic win over Liechtenstein on Saturday night.
Alioski has come in for a lot of criticism from some sections of the Whites supporters this season. Some of that is due to his underwhelming form during much of his first campaign at Elland Road, while others have not been convinced by some of his recent displays.
The winger has actually had a direct hand in six of Leeds' goals in the Championship this term, with three goals and three assists thus far. But with one goal and one assist coming since August, his recent performances have come in for scrutiny.
He actually put in one of his better displays in recent times during his most appearance for Marcelo Bielsa's side, shining in the left-back role in the latter stages against Brentford and providing the cross that led to Pontus Jansson's late equaliser in the 1-1 draw.
And he has now followed that up with his third goal in as many games for his country, as he completed the scoring in their Nations League tie. The 26-year-old dribbled through the Liechtenstein defence before smashing the ball home from close range to complete the scoring in the 4-1 win that leaves Macedonia top of their group by six points.
And in response to the goal, a number of Leeds fans have praised Alioski or suggested that it is further proof that some of his critics are being too harsh. There have been a couple of jokes made regarding his apparent inability to stay onside or his reluctance to run with the ball and take on a full-back, but there has been plenty of support for the wide-man.
Here is what some of the supporters made of the goal...
