Ademola Lookman has admitted to Sky Sports that he hasn’t played as much as he hoped at Everton under Marco Silva.

Lookman was linked with a move away from Everton in the summer transfer window, but he was kept at Goodison Park.

The youngster went out on loan to Red Bull Leipzig last term, and his first taste of regular, top tier, football left him wanting more.

Lookman was said to be keen to move to Bundesliga, but Everton were determined to keep him around.

However, Lookman may have put his future in doubt again, by suggesting that he hasn’t played as often as he wanted.

"I wouldn't call it frustration,” the £11 million signing (BBC Sport) said. “It’s just opportunity, I haven't had as much opportunity as I would have liked and I need to keep going forward and working hard. I can't just stop, I've got to keep going.”

Lookman has made just two appearances for Everton in the Premier League, and both have come as a substitute.

The England youth international’s only start for Everton has come in the EFL Cup.

Everton are next in action after the international break, when they take on Crystal Palace.
