Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa was spotted at Barnsley’s match against Luton Town today, which has naturally thrown up questions over the purpose of his visit among the Whites supporters.
Bielsa had no obvious reason to be at the game, with Leeds not scheduled to play Barnsley or Luton any time soon.
Speculation has been rife over why Bielsa was in the crowd at Oakwell, and it could well be that Alex Mowatt was on his radar.
Mowatt was once touted as the next big thing at Leeds, but his career has stalled in recent times.
The attacking midfielder fell out of favour at Leeds, and his first season at Barnsley did not go entirely according to play.
However, Mowatt has impressed this term, and he may just have alerted Leeds again.
Mowatt is still only 23-years-old, meaning he still has time on his side, and the signs are he is getting back to his very best.
Leeds know all about how much of a threat Mowatt can pose when on top of his game.
The youngster scored nine goals in a Championship season at the tender age of 20.
And Bielsa's visit to Oakwell could just be a clue that Mowatt might not have played his last game for Leeds just yet.
