Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has failed to impress Scotland fans with his performance against Israel.
Scotland were beaten 2-1 by Israel last night, in what was a terrible night for Alex McLeish’s side.
Celtic midfielder McGregor was selected to start in the contest, but he failed to catch the eye with the national team.
The Bhoys man was heavily criticised by supporters, as he failed to create openings for his teammates.
Callum McGregor with an absolute shocker Poor first touch, gets the break of the ball off the defender and doesn’t even hit the target.— Marc McArdle (@marcmcardle1) October 11, 2018
Callum McGregor scoring worldies all over the place for Celtic, stick him in a Scotland shirt and he couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo.— Aldo (@alanjhorne) October 11, 2018

That Callum McGregor effort was embarrassingly bad— Cochise (@Rhik17) October 11, 2018
Yep. Especially with Callum McGregor playing hide and seek and yet still plays the full 90 minutes.— Der Stench Kaput (@Derstenchnewco) October 11, 2018
Exactly, and how McGregor gets anywhere near the team is beyond me. One of the most overrated players in Scotland. If he played for Hibs he wouldn't be getting a look in.— Steven McConnell (@McConnellSteven) October 12, 2018
Tierney n Robertson doesn’t work balance of the team all over the place ! Hard decision who to drop but O’Donnell playin we’ll right back wouldn’t drop him ! Callum mcgregor half the player Armstrong aswell !— FERGIEEE (@daleferguson1) October 11, 2018
Celtic had a few representatives in the starting line-up, with Kieran Tierney also starting.
Tierney scored an own goal in the contest, which ended up handed Israel with the three points.
McLeish is now under serious pressure, with his team selection facing severe criticism.
Scotland are next in action on Sunday, when they take on Portugal in a friendly.
