Rangers fans react as Andy Dallas and Cammy Palmer goals hand win to Ibrox second string

Some Rangers fans think the Ibrox pair could be next to break into Steven Gerrard's plans.

Rangers' second string beat Morton's first team in a behind closed doors friendly on Thursday - the Ibrox side emerging 2-1 winners.

Andrew Dallas and Cammy Palmer scored a goal apiece for Rangers, to continue their recent good form, while their manager, Peter Lovenkrands, posted the following tweet afterwards:

And with Rangers' attack down to the bare bones for this month's Scottish League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen, some Gers fans believe a call-up could be on the cards for striker Dallas, in particular.

Although it appears it is not only Dallas in line for promotion to Steven Gerrard's plans...

 

Gerrard has already shown in his brief time in charge of Rangers that he is willing to provide youngsters with first team opportunities.

Glenn Middleton quickly cemented a place in the Liverpudlian's squad, while Stephen Kelly made his debut for the Gers last month.
