Aston Villa fans believe Henri Lansbury will be transformed under Dean Smith

Dean Smith, manager of Brentford looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Brentford and Sunderland at Griffin Park on October 21, 2017 in Brentford, England.

Aston Villa fans believe that Henri Lansbury is going to come back to the fore under Dean Smith.

Lansbury was totally overlooked towards the end of Steve Bruce’s time at Villa Park.

The 28-year-old midfielder has made just one appearance so far this season in the EFL Cup.

However, Lansbury has previously proven his quality at Championship level, and his skill-set may be suited to Smith’s management.

Smith promotes a fast-tempo, passing style, which Lansbury should be able to cope with.

And Villa fans believe that Lansbury could come back from the cold and impress now that Smith is in charge.

Smith’s first match in the Villa dugout will come in two weekends’ time, when they take on Swansea City at Villa Park.
