Aston Villa fans believe that Henri Lansbury is going to come back to the fore under Dean Smith.
Lansbury was totally overlooked towards the end of Steve Bruce’s time at Villa Park.
The 28-year-old midfielder has made just one appearance so far this season in the EFL Cup.
However, Lansbury has previously proven his quality at Championship level, and his skill-set may be suited to Smith’s management.
Smith promotes a fast-tempo, passing style, which Lansbury should be able to cope with.
And Villa fans believe that Lansbury could come back from the cold and impress now that Smith is in charge.
The likes of Lansbury, Bree and Hogan will be like new signings now Bruce has gone #avfc— Harry Johnson (@avfc_johnson) October 11, 2018
I really hope Dean Smith gives Hogan and Lansbury a proper chance like before we signed them they were tearing up the championship! #AVFC— jordan (@jordanfenlonx) October 11, 2018

Hoping players like Hogan,Lansbury,O'Hare,Tshibola (next season) and Green (next season) finally get a chance to prove their worth. Too much talent wasted at this club. Buzzing with this appointment. #AVFC #UTV #VTID— Joe H (@JoeH62192798) October 10, 2018
Really hope Dean Smith can bring the best out of Lansbury, can be a huge player for us like he was for Forest if he gets chance— Ol (@Leacheyyy) October 12, 2018
Smith’s first match in the Villa dugout will come in two weekends’ time, when they take on Swansea City at Villa Park.
