According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur were one of a number of clubs to send scouts to watch Barcelona's Cadete A side in action against Espanyol last weekend.
Barcelona's record in terms of producing talented youngsters has been remarkable over the years, but problems have started to arise in recent times.
The pathway from the La Masia academy to the first team has become a little more difficult, and young players are starting to turn away from the club and pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Now, Mundo Deportivo report that a number of Premier League teams sent scouts to watch the Cadete A side – Barcelona's under-16's – in action against their Espanyol counterparts on Saturday.
Leo Dos Reis scored the only goal of the game as Barca won 1-0, and Tottenham Hotspur were believed to be watching as they consider getting in early for some of Barcelona's talents.
Mauricio Pochettino may be keen to prevent similar failures by laying groundwork early, and he certainly has his finger on the pulse in Catalunya having managed Espanyol, and it seems that he has eyes on some very young talents to boost Tottenham's ranks.
