Report: Manchester United could offer Tottenham Hotspur Toby Alderweireld exchange

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is still on Manchester United's radar.

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United could use Eric Bailly in a swap deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Toby Alderweireld in January.

Bailly is reportedly considering his future at United, and he is said to be a target of Spurs.


Mauricio Pochettino’s side are thought to be looking for centre-backs, as they aim to strengthen their squad.

And United may well come back in for Alderweireld, by offering Bailly in exchange.

Tottenham still haven’t sorted out Alderweireld’s future, with his contract now running out imminently.

The Belgian has been a long-term target of United, and they are set to step up their chase for the defender in January.

Bailly, himself, reportedly could force a move away for United, after a lack of game time so far this season.

United are said to value Bailly at £30 million, as they want to recoup the fee they paid for him.
