Former Aston Villa star weighs in on Dean Smith and John Terry.
Paul McGrath has given a positive reaction to Aston Villa's appointment of Dean Smith and John Terry.
They replace Steve Bruce who was fired a week ago after a disappointing run of results to start the season.
Former Villa defender McGrath believes Aston Villa have made the right decision, commenting on Twitter.
He believes that Terry's return will be just as important as Smith taking charge.
Delighted for Aston Villa that Dean Smith as a Villa fan has been given the opportunity to ply his trade at the club he loves . More importantly, sorry Dean , JT is back, some players need a reality check! Understand are coming back. With or without you! #UTV.#Believe.— Paul McGrath (@Paulmcgrath5) October 11, 2018
Villa also hired a new sporting director, bringing in former Valencia chief Jesus Garcia Pitarch.
After reaching the play-off final last season and almost winning promotion, Villa hoped to kick on this season.
It hasn't happened, and with Villa in 15th place, Smith and Terry have a big job ahead to turn around their fortunes.
