The 27-year-old had been called up to the squad to face Russia in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday evening, before playing host to Slovakia next Tuesday.
However Jansson, who scored an excellent equaliser against Brentford before swearing live on Sky Sports in the immediate aftermath on Saturday, is set to return to Leeds.
The reason for his early return is because his wife is about to give birth to his first child, and the former Malmo and Torino defender has now been replaced by FC Copenhagen centre-back Sotirios Papagiannopoulos.
Jansson has been in fine form for Leeds - arguably his best in a Leeds shirt - since returning to the side this season, after featuring in Sweden's excellent World Cup campaign that saw them reach the quarter finals.
Making nine Championship appearances, Jansson has helped Leeds keep five clean sheets and win four times, as Marcelo Bielsa's men sit in third place in the Championship.
The colossal defender is likely to be available for Leeds' next outing against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on October 20.
