Aston Villa fans have called for Leonardo Jardim to be placed in charge of them, following Thierry Henry’s rejection.

ESPN have reported how Monaco are set to replace Jardim with Henry in the coming days.

Henry had been on Villa’s shortlist to replace Steve Bruce, but he has decided to return to French football.

Villa fans think that it could all work out for the best though.

There is a large section of the Villa Park crowd who are simply hoping that they go straight after Jardim, as he would be more proven than Henry anyway.

Jardim has done a brilliant job at Monaco, and brought through some of the most outstanding young talents in world football.

Jardim would likely be an expensive option for Villa in terms of wages, but he would be one of the highest profile bosses in the Championship, if he was to arrive.
