Aston Villa fans have called for Leonardo Jardim to be placed in charge of them, following Thierry Henry’s rejection.
Henry had been on Villa’s shortlist to replace Steve Bruce, but he has decided to return to French football.
Villa fans think that it could all work out for the best though.
There is a large section of the Villa Park crowd who are simply hoping that they go straight after Jardim, as he would be more proven than Henry anyway.
To all the #AVFC fans worried that we won’t get Henry because he’s going to Monaco…— Jack Grimse (@JackGrimse) October 9, 2018
Let’s just hire Jardim.
Since Henry going to Monaco. Monaco sacking Jardim. Go get him. Did really well with Monaco last four years. Free agent. #avfc— Kaza (@pkaza84) October 9, 2018
If Jardim leaves Monaco then don’t see why Villa don’t go for him. The lure of Monaco would be too much for Henry. Jardim is grea at nurturing talent and plays great football. Just had his team sold from beneath him. Thoughts? @lovespud83 @davehoey81 #avfc #Monaco— John Hoey (@johnhoeyweb) October 9, 2018
Jardim is another level mate, we will walk this division with him, our owners want a big name, well there it is— AVFCLlVE (@AVFCLlVE) October 9, 2018
May be worth chucking a few quid on mate whilst large odds i am going to try and see what or if i can get on him
Jardim is honestly the perfect candidate for the job:— JARDIM FOR VILLA (@dvtavfc) October 9, 2018
Experience getting promotion for a lower division
Fantastic at working with and developing young footballers
Plays exciting, attacking football
Available for free!
(Alas, incredibly unrealistic) #AVFC
Jardim has done a brilliant job at Monaco, and brought through some of the most outstanding young talents in world football.
Jardim would likely be an expensive option for Villa in terms of wages, but he would be one of the highest profile bosses in the Championship, if he was to arrive.
