Everton playmaker Bernard has already caught the eye during his time at Goodison Park.

Marco Silva has promised the Liverpool Echo that Everton summer signing Bernard will only get better.

Bernard was in scintillating form at the weekend, as Everton picked up a victory over Leicester City.

The Toffees won 2-1 in the contest, and Bernard’s assist for Richarlison’s goal was outstanding.

The Brazilian jinked his way around Leicester’s defence, before picking out his compatriot at the far post.

It was Bernard’s second assist in as many Premier League matches, and Silva thinks that the play maker will only get better as the season progresses.

The Everton boss said: "Bernard will get better because he hadn't played since last March.

"He played 90 minutes on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup and almost 90 again today which is important to him.”

If Silva’s prediction that Bernard will become even better does come true, then Everton fans should be seriously excited.

Everton could have a really outstanding prospect on their hands, and Silva’s side look to be in great shape going forward.
