15 goals in 16, Tottenham and Palace shouldn't ignore Munas Dabbur's stunning form

Tottenham Hotspur scouted Red Bull Salzburg last season while Premier League neighbours Crystal Palace were linked with Munas Dabbur in the summer.

One of the most prolific strikers anywhere in Europe right now is an Israeli international plying his trade in Austria. But while Munas Dabbur is far from a household name, a number of Premier League clubs are aware of his talents.

Estadio Deportivo reported in the summer that Crystal Palace were very keen, while Tottenham Hotspur have also watched Dabbur in action, laola 1 claiming that the North London outfit sent scouts to the Austrian Bundesliga champions late last season.

Now, Crystal Palace are crying out for a goal scorer with Christian Benteke’s struggles showing no signs of ending. Tottenham, meanwhile, are still lacking a reliable back-up to Harry Kane with Fernando Llorente opening up about his ‘daily struggles’ in midweek, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

So Dabbur’s match-winning display against Celtic on Thursday shouldn’t go unnoticed. The 26-year-old scored twice in Red Bull Salzburg’s 3-1 win against Celtic in the Europa League, meaning he has a remarkable 15 in 16 games this season.

The former Maccabi Tel Aviv man is well on track to beat his 2017/18 tally of 29, which fired Salzburg to the domestic title and the Europa League semi-finals.

These staggering numbers suggest that Dabbur is starting to outgrow the relatively small Austrian pond and there are Premier League clubs who could do with a striker as relentless as him.
