According to The Daily Mail, former Arsenal striker Henry is the favourite to succeed Steve Bruce as the Villa manager.
The former France international is working as the assistant manager for Belgium at the moment.
The Daily Mail quotes Martinez as saying: “There is no contact between Aston Villa and Thierry Henry.
“But we must understand that such things are not illogical. What happens in Belgian football attracts attention.”
Good managerial appointment?
Henry is one of the greatest players to have featured in the Premier League, and the Arsenal great has been working an assistant manager under Martinez for Belgium.
It will be a risk for the Villans to appoint the Frenchman as their manager, especially as the team are still very much in the running for the Championship playoffs.
Villa are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 15 points from 11 matches, just two points behind sixth-placed Brentford.
