The on-loan Rangers man made his fourth appearance for Steven Gerrard's side at Ibrox on Thursday.
Christian Doidge, who played with Worrall at Dagenham & Redbridge, made the comment in response to an Instagram post made by the Nottingham Forest-owned player after Rangers' 3-1 win against Rapid Vienna at Ibrox on Thursday. But Worrall replied that he was "fuming with that shout".
Rangers paid £4 million for Hendry, who helped a Gers side then managed by Dick Advocaat to a domestic treble in 1998-99.
But the former Scotland captain was sold Coventry City the following campaign, having entered the twilight of his career, and later turned out for Preston North End, Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers - Doidge's current club.
Worrall was making only his fourth appearance in Rangers colours, who recovered from going a goal behind to beat Rapid 3-1 and move top of Europa League Group G.
