The former Leeds United loanee has now kept only one clean sheet in 11 Championship games for West Bromwich Albion.

He was the player Leeds United fans arguably coveted the most during the summer transfer window, but there would be no Elland Road return for Kyle Bartley, who joined West Bromwich Albion instead.

The Baggies are reported to have paid £6 million for the former Leeds loan star, who has gone on to feature in all 11 of their Championship matches this season.

 

With their side having played and won the previous evening - in doing so replacing West Brom at the top of the table - Whites fans had a rare opportunity to check on Bartley's progress when Albion travelled to Sheffield Wednesday, for a game that was broadcast live on Sky Sports on Wednesday.

And for those who did, the primary response was one of relief.
