Most Queens Park Rangers fans have praised Massimo Luongo’s performance for them against Reading.
Luongo was selected to start in QPR’s midfield during the contest, and he caught the eye.
The Australian international helped Rangers pick up a 1-0 win at the Madejski Stadium, with the midfielder’s performance setting the tone for his side.
Luongo put in an all action display, and seemed to be getting back closer to his best.
And QPR fans were generally encouraged by what they saw from the 26-year-old midfielder.
Luongo our best player again by a long way.— Ash. (@QPR_Ash) October 2, 2018
Much better from @QPR tonight. Luongo's best game of the season, Freeman and Lynch both excellent. Real effort on show. Now the big question, does Steve stick with one up front??— John Donagh (@QPRDROG) October 2, 2018
The unfashionable players were brilliant tonight - Bidwell, Lynch, Rangel, Cousins and it was Luongo’s best performance in a while #qpr— Dean Spencer (@deanspencer1990) October 2, 2018
For all their pretty football (at times), Freeman and Luongo are just too lightweight, and lack pace to threaten the opposition back 4 when in between the lines #QPR— Darren Pickard (@darrenpickard) October 2, 2018
Luongo ... now theres an overrated man— Sam (@SamQpr__) October 2, 2018
QPR scored their goal against Reading through Tony Leistner, in a game which was short on quality.
Neither side looked particularly impressive, but it was QPR who picked up the three points in a scrappy affair.
Steve McClaren’s men have now moved up to 17th place in the Championship table.
