When someone seems continually unperturbed by the difficulties surrounding them, we sometimes say that they have a strong character. What we mean in psychological terms is that they are highly resilient and able to adapt to most situations.
The great thing about resilience is that it is something you can develop and improve over time. As next Wednesday the 10th of October is World Mental Health Day – it’s a good time for all of us to take a moment to think about how we can improve our mental health.
