Aston Villa trainee is thriving in Holland.
Aston Villa had huge hopes for young midfielder Daniel Crowley when he quit the club to join Arsenal in 2013.
Lauded as the next Jack Wilshere, the only thing Crowley shares with the West Ham midfielder is a tale of unfulfilled potential.
Unlike injury prone Wilshere, Crowley's problems stem from the fact that he just wasn't given a first team chance at Arsenal.
Now he is rebuilding his career in Holland and he is flourishing by playing regularly for Eredivisie side Willem II.
His recent form would even suggest Aston Villa should consider making a bargain move to bring Crowley home.
Last week his performances saw him named in the Eredivisie Team of the Week and he was bright again this weekend, providing an assist.
In seven games this season Crowley has scored two goals and provided two assists.
Still only 21, Crowley is showing he is benefitting from playing regularly..
He would be a smart investment for Villa, and could be worth millions in the future.
Giving him the chance to right the wrong of walking out on the club and thriving alongside Jack Grealish in midfield is a move worth considering.
