West Ham loanee praises former academy teammates.
An experimental West Ham side thrashed Macclesfield 8-0 last night to continue their Carabao Cup run.
Goals from Michail Antonio, Robert Snodgrass (2), Lucas Perez, Ryan Fredericks, Angelo Ogbonna and Grady Diangana (2) fired the Hammers to an easy victory.
West Ham rotated their side especially in the second half, with Diangana the youngster who made the biggest impression.
One young talent unable to play a part was loaned out striker Toni Martinez, who is out at Spanish side Rayo Majadahonda.
He was paying attention to the Hammers' win, and enjoyed seeing his teammates run riot.
He praised teammates Diangana and Joe Powell, who provided an assist for one of the goals.
These two hard work pays off, congrats hermanos!! @JoePowell_10 #GD ⚒ https://t.co/A971DWo9yw

This was the sort of opportunity Martinez wanted at West Ham last season, before being sent out on successive loans.
Nights like last night can be inspirational for players in the academy, and if Martinez was losing hope, seeing what is possible for his academy teammates should motivate him to keep fighting for his dream.
